SHARE THE LOVE

Have you ever wondered how to have a long lasting, loving union? Finding time to “just be” with our partner, friends and family can be a challenge. These special moments can elude us as we give into life’s demands. We all know that spending quality time with those we love is essential to maintaining a lasting, loving relationship. It doesn’t have to be a major event to be meaningful.

According to experts, the “secret” to a long and happy marriage or relationship is dependant on good communication, mutual respect, and a willingness to work through challenges together. It’s not always easy to listen to each other, to not become defensive or to express our needs openly. But, when we make the effort to communicate in this way, our relationships can grow in very rewarding ways.

How often do you let your partner, family or friends know that you care? It is easy to take a cherished one for granted so remember to acknowledge those you love with small gestures. If you are busy, send a note or text with a heart to let your loved one(s) know you are thinking of them. Small gestures can have big impacts. February is about acknowledging those we care about, be it on Family Day, Valentine’s Day or “just because”. This month make time to connect with loved ones and do things that bring happiness to all of you. Schedule fun dates with your partner and spend time with people who energize you. Give yourself permission to relax, play and laugh.
